Approx 125 pages, 8" by 15" inches, detailing the day to day administration of post-war Western Germany, covering January-May 1949. Each 2-page spread contains six columns: --I International Conference Level --II Governmental & Intergovernmental Level --III Military Governors & Control Council Level --IV Berlin Commandants & Kommandatura Level --V Berlin City Government (German) Level --VI German Governmental (Western or Eastern Zones) Level, with daily entries in the applicable categories. Here's a few sample entries: "22 January Currency, Finance: West-Sector Criminal Police arrests gang of banknote forgers who had circulated blue 20-Westmark Notes."; "15 March Political Prisoners: Berlin "Kurier" reports that inmates of Soviet Zone Prison in Bautzen have been deported to Soviet Russia early in February in unheated and sealed freight cars"; " 16 April Economic Blockade: Western Allies planes break airlift record as British and US Planes in 1383 flights fly 12,940 tons into Berlin in a 24-hour period". A wealth of material for the historical researcher or WWII enthusiast.
